Senior Citizen System is a web application designed to streamline the process of managing and distributing allowances to senior citizens at the barangay level. The platform allows administrators to register seniors, automatically generate ID cards with QR codes, and use these IDs for efficient and secure allowance claiming. The system simplifies record-keeping and reduces manual errors in the distribution process.
While developing Senior Citizen System, one of the key challenges was integrating the web app with an IoT scanner device used for reading the QR codes. Ensuring smooth communication between the device and the web application required careful testing and adjustment.
Aside from that, the overall system was straightforward to implement, but it gave me valuable experience in managing user data, authentication flows, and designing user interfaces that are intuitive for non-technical users.
